Oral Surgery

Occasionally, a tooth may need to be extracted.

Removal of teeth these days is usually painless due to effective modern anesthetics. Instruments have now been developed make the procedure as quick and stress free as possible.

Wisdom teeth

These are the last teeth to erupt in most people. In Asian people or those of small stature, they may not emerge properly; these are termed impacted teeth. If impacted, it may not fully emerge thereby creating  potential problems such as food impaction, decay, swollen gums or bone loss due to infection.  Removal of these teeth will require a minor surgical procedure.

Other common surgical procedures that can be undertaken include placement of implants, bone augmentation, apisectomies and periodontal surgery.
